Training Day opened the 2026 World Junior and Youth Championship trials at Whistler Olympic Park, hosted by Biathlon Canada with Sea to Sky Nordic. Teams arrived early to learn the trail and range conditions. Athletes sectioned their respective course to feel for the best line on climbs, descents, and in corners. Coaches guided sighting routines and range flow.

The morning focused on selecting the best skis for the snow conditions. Staff tested multiple pairs to match temperature and firmness. Athletes finalized zero settings and adjusted for wind on the firing line.
Training Day builds preparation for the sprint race tomorrow. Athletes now hold data on trail speed, wind patterns, and turn exits. This information shapes pacing and shooting strategy for sprint day.
